

UIUC PHYSICS 101 EQUATION SHEET MANUAL
This package includes a 4 month subscription to the text (ISBN-9780357363454) and to the solutions manual (ISBN-9780357363591) with an option to rent a hard copy of the text for the price of shipping and handling. The publishing company of the text (Cengage) has two different electronic versions you can purchase. Where you purchase the materials is up to you. For the Atoms first text and Solutions Guide, I recommend you purchase the electronic version of the text which gives you the text and the Solutions Manual but also gives you the option to rent a hard copy of the text for shipping and handling.

The Handouts book is produced locally and is only available at the Illini Union Bookstore. Also required is the Handouts for Chemistry 102B and 102C book. The required texts for the course are the 3rd ed Chemistry: An Atoms First Approach by Zumdahls and Decoste along with the Student Solutions Manual that accompanies the 3rd ed text. My office hours are noon-1:30 pm on Mondays and 10-11:30 am on Wednesdays in 3016 Chem Annex.ĥ. You can arrange to take the exam anytime on Wednesday, Sept 28.Ĥ. If you have special exam accommodations, then you need to sign-up to take the exam at the Testing Accommodations Center at DRES. If you can't make either exam, then you need to contact Tom Hummel (tjhummel) to arrange a time to take the exam on Wednesday, Sept 28. Also, make sure you bring your ID to the conflict exam. When you sign-up for the conflict exam, note the room location. The deadline to sign-up is 6:30 pm Tuesday, September 27. The sign-up sheet for the conflict exam is in the General Chemistry office in 1026 Chem Annex. In order to take the conflict, you must sign up for it. The conflict exam will be from 5-6:30 pm on September 28. Room assignments for the exam are posted under the Exam Information link on the right.

Exam 1 is 7-8:30 pm Wednesday, September 28. You also get two attempts to answer each of the 12 question correctly.ģ. The quiz is 60 minutes and is open notes. Answers to the assigned Review questions are not required. The even numbered assigned text problems from assignments 6-9 will be checked by your TA on Wednesday, September 21. Quiz 2 covers the lectures/assignments 6-9 (these are the Thursday/Friday week 3 assignment, the two week 4 assignments, and the Tuesday/Wednesday week 5 assignment). It must be completed by 9 am Thursday, September 22. Quiz 2 will open up sometime on Tuesday, September 20. Lon Capa HW 4 is due by 9 am Sept 20 and HW 5 is due by 9 am Tuesday, September 27Ģ.
